Something that is so baffling to me is how AMC decided to not put any kind of subtitles whenever Lestat would speak french in the Interview With The Vampire show but they DID decide in Mayfair Witches to put subtitles every time Suzanne Mayfair opened her mouth to speak in perfect understandable english with an scottish accent
Star Trek Episodes: 1.09 ★ Dagger of the Mind (November 2, 1966)
Can you imagine a mind emptied by that thing, without even a tormentor for company?
Book! Armand, Yes, he’s sending pictures to Daniel, because he wants to spoil his boyfriend, he deserves it, he earned it, one pic with his fangs and another one without it, because he likes to tease.
It’s interesting to reread Merrick now that I have read the Mayfair trilogy (the very reason I decided to do so), because it does make the story and the character more interesting.
Merrick is a very interesting character and she could be the key for a crossover between the IWTV and the Mayfair Witches shows, with her being Talamasca and a black Mayfair that wants nothing to do with the white Mayfairs of her family but is dragged into their mess anyway… I do hope to see her in future seasons (and also hope they would give her a diferent ending… I’m still so mad about what was done to her)
lestat/armand interactions are so funny once you’ve read tva because you realize they’re all just:
“dear diary: saw lestat again today. he is the single most insufferable, selfish, dramatic person I’ve ever had the misfortune of interacting with. all he ever seems to do is cause problems for those around him, and when they try to help out of the goodness of their hearts he never takes their advice. I truly cannot believe that he hasn’t perished and I can honestly say if not for the assistance of his unlikely gang of “friends” he would be dead a hundred times over. I may have helped this time, but next time he won’t be so lucky. I must stand my ground. will report back when relevant.”
meanwhile this is doodled in the corner
Sometimes a fanon interpretation shared by so many people will gaslight you into thinking YOU’re not smart enough to understand it when, in reality, no, the collective of a fandom can indeed just be misinterpreting a character beyond parody. It’s not you, it’s them
Thinking about the show of all time (Black Sails) tonight… I do hope so much that Madi never ever forgives Silver for what he did. I can’t accept another ending in my head tbh, the idea of Silver putting an end to the war to save both Madi and Flint and this very act resulting in him losing both of them forever and ever… poetic cinema, it is
