I’m so fuckin sick of people trying to claim queer subtext can’t exist in classic literature

like, queers did not just start popping up in the 1980s like daisies

we have legit always been here and sometimes we write about ourselves

tl;dr Nick Carraway was hopelessly in love with Jay Gatsby Horatio had an unrequited thing for Hamlet nothing in The Iliad is subtext or vague people are gay Steven

i’ve been scrolling through my queer tag on this good evening and this is uhhhhhhhhhh still true

tagged as: gonna start personally fighting people who tell me the Iliad is not gay at all;  i didn't spend two goddamn years reading that book to be disrespected like that;
