In the fan meet at Behold the Red Dragon Con, I asked Hettienne what her favorite Will/Beverly scene was, and she said it was this one at the shooting range.

I often point to Will breaking down the door at the start of Apéritif as That Moment When I Knew This Was Something Special. I think that’s the moment I feel deeply in like with the show. 

But this moment, in Amuse-bouche, is when I knew that this interpretation of Will Graham and Hannibal Lecter was going to transcend what I’d seen before. 

The rawness of Will admitting he liked killing Hobbs, of needing to admit it — and Hannibal jumping right in, giving Will permission to like it. 

Haven’t looked back since.
