its always nice when actors say its ok to interpret the character they play as lgbt but ds9 actors are on some galaxy brain shit. are they so devoted to their character being butch that they cut their costume wig into a dyke haircut (which couldn’t be replaced and un-dyked due to zero budget) and fight non-stage makeup every step of the way? did they kiss each other on the lips on film? did they literally write a PLAY with their same gender costar shipping their characters together? i cant get over that last one. if you didnt write at least 30 pages of real irl unpaid literature about your character being in gay love you’re not a real ally
