I was watching again this episode and I don’t resisted in take some caps of this precious moment
automatonic-positronic-harmonics:
Data as Sherlock still counts as Sherlock right?
This is a great gif!
I was trying to remember when this scene happen:

I remember Data doing this very well, but I can’t remember the context, the episode or even the season which it happens. Someone knows?
One of the only parts of Generations that I absolutely love.

Day 17: Robot Girl
It’s Data’s family! Lal and Spot!
Well, didn’t I find a sly way out of this one… I really didn’t want to try and draw a real robot, because I knew it would be a real pain in the ass for me. What was also sort of irking me was to draw a robot girl. I mean, how do robots have genders anyway?
This was also something that I didn’t like about the TNG episode The Offspring. I rewatched it for reference and Troi and Data kept on insisting that Lal had to pick a gender. But ok, this was, oh my, first aired in 1990… I guess if they’d write this now they’d have done this differently.
Otherwise the episode was good. Made me sad drawing this actually. I kept imagining Data having a little holo image thingie of Lal and Spot just like he has of Tasha and it’d be like a picture of his kids on his desk in his cabin. Sometimes he’d look at it and call up her memories of the moment when the picture was taken, since he’s saved all her memories and expieriences before she died, and he’s all puzzled because she sort of saw Spot as her big brother and that just doesn’t make any sense to Data, because Spot is a cat and that is just illogical.
Haha so much text, but one more thing occured to me drawing this… how is it that Spot turns out to be a girl cat later on? Do they temper so much with cat genetics in the future that there are actually female orange cats?
If you do not reblog this, you are in fact lying.
