i’m just eternally grateful for avery brooks and all the work he did to make ds9 the show it is. how hard he fought to portray a powerful black man with positive family relationships when the network had other ideas. how deftly he handled the episodes he directed (some of the best episodes in the entire series). he’s wonderful and i’m so glad he’s a part of star trek.
Variety is putting together a DS9 25th anniversary story in its January edition and in preparation they did a photoshoot, which they published in advance. Various cast members also posed their own pics from the shoot:
