from this post. yes tiny Armand is fun but… he’s 5′6″ guys! he’s really not that short! he just seems short when he’s around literally any other vampires because they’re all super tall noodle men.
and if you feel the need to comment on this like “lmao but 5′6″ IS short” then you can just not because I’m 5′3″ and I don’t need ur assholeness in my life THANKS BYE
From time to time, I take a break and ‘do what I want’, no matter how self-indulgent.
For some reason, in the last few days I’ve started thinking a lot about Vampire Chronicles and how much I loved some of those characters as a teenager. And I thought that it would be catarthic to finally paint them from imagination (and the odd reference from Pinterest XD).
So I present you the speed-painted version of Armand and Daniel Molloy.
“Daniel stared hard at the creature before him, this thing that looked human and sounded human but was not. There was a horrid shift in his consciousness; he saw this being like a great insect, a monstrous evil predator who had devoured a million human lives. And yet he loved this thing.” -The Queen of the Damned: The Story of Daniel, The Devil’s Minion
A more (less?) literal interpretation of Daniel’s thoughts about Armand and how he sees him. This was a very fun piece to draw and probably more my ‘style’ than anything I’ve drawn like all year! In hindsight I might have flipped the direction of the scorpion tail but yes, very fun! Pencils + Photoshop for coloring and editing.
“Ugly fights, terrible fights, finally, Armand broken down, glassy-eyed with silent rage, then crying softly but uncontrollably as if some lost emotion had been rediscovered which threatened to tear him apart.”
*sigh*
But yaay! My 2-part Daniel and Armand artwork is finished! I did my best with this piece, and it was my first time mixing digital with traditional art.
Request for @sanguinivora of Armand and Daniel Molloy some time in 1975-76. It’s not quite when the blood sharing begins but at least they will stand one another’s company.
