the DS9 story (A Gutted World) opens with Garak convincing Damar that his collection of illicit engineering materials is solely to make a super kinky sex toy under the radar for his “friend”

and Damar asks Garak to show him the materials and prove it, and Garak lays all the parts out, and Damar is like, yeah, I think that’s a sex toy, Garak you’re so fucking weird and Garak’s just like lol yeah I know, it’s great!
