Watching through Deep Space Nine properly for the first time now I can totally see where the Bashir/Garak shippers are getting it from, aha, ahaha, wow.

I mean I don’t think that’s what the writers were going for, but when you write tension and wordplay between two inherently flirtatious characters and then set that over tables with flowers on them and sudden surprise visits to quarters in the middle of the night I mean wow.

The last episode I watched that had these two was S4E9 Our Man Bashir, basically James Bond Julian. I like how Garak’s reaction to him shooting him in the neck was “yes good”
