I’m so much happier now that I’m dead. Technically missing. Soon to be presumed dead. Gone. And my lazy lying shitting oblivious husband will go to prison for my murder. Nick Dunne took my pride and my dignity and my hope and my money. He took and took from me until I no longer existed. That’s murder. Let the punishment fit the crime.

Women in movies: Amy Elliott-Dunne, portrayed by Rosamund Pike in Gone Girl (2014). “Hello, handsome. Crepe?”
I like the idea that people who see Gone Girl are possibly going to come out with incredibly different reactions to it, not just between men and women, but if you are in a good relationship or a bad relationship. Everyone is going to bring their own bundle of prejudices and viewpoints and experiences to it. I do think it’s going to be the kind of film that you have to go out for a drink afterwards (alcoholic or not) and really discuss it. — Gillian Flynn
