Reba’s feelings about Dolarhyde in the end: ‘She couldn’t stop loving him. She may have felt the monster but she ‘saw’ the man… Even though he hurt her, all she remembers is the heart… Maybe she’s the one woman in the world who could love him… I always wondered how Reba saw Dolarhyde in her mind. And I think he looked like a god. And she was a goddess… She never stopped loving him… She ultimately saw a beautiful man… Being blind allowed her to just see his heart… Even through the fire, she was, like, ‘But I love you!’ ‘I’m living out my worst fear (the fire) and yet my heart is breaking at the same time.’
On the possibility of Reba having Dolarhyde’s baby: ‘I think she would love it because it would be a part of him.’
Reba’s conversation with Will: ‘Hugh himself is thinking about his own monster and man. She (Reba) clocked that… She didn’t feel alone. She felt seen… It was comforting… There was a connection.’
“I was one of many to audition, but I was fortunate to be very close friends with Hugh Dancy before that, because I worked with him ten years ago, and the chemistry was really well between us. And I guess the writer and director decided I was the one to play Hannibal after they saw us together… AND MAYBE I ALSO GOT THE PART BECAUSE I WAS THE ONLY ACTOR EATING PEOPLE IN REAL LIFE.”
