However, he is on a constant quest to learn more about humans and their emotions, and to become more like this; Data’s high intelligence and his ability to apply it to dfferent situations innovative ways while constantly evolving as an individual puts him in Ravenclaw House.

Starfleet-Houses » Spock: It is hard to imagine a Vulcan character placing outside of Ravenclaw due to their emphasis on logic and knowledge. Indeed, Spock is a little more emotional than most Vulcans due to his being half-human; this makes him an eccentric among Vulcans and humans alike. Sharp wit, the intelligence of a computer, and a certain degree of unusualness places Spock in Ravenclaw House.

Starfleet-Houses » Captain Jean-Luc Picard: A deeply intelligent man and a fearless leader, Picard is bold, courageous, authoritative, and has a very strong sense of morality and justice. He trusts his own judgements in drawing the lines between right and wrong, and perserveres through many hardships while remaining a well-respected and well-liked leader. Fiercely independent and stalwart, Picard is an exemplary member of Gryffindor House.

Starfleet-Houses » Lieutenant Julian Bashir: While this was a very difficult sorting choice - Bashir is incredibly intelligent, which might put him in Ravenclaw - but one has to remember Bashir’s intelligence is fabricated through eugenics; through cheating. Bashir is incredibly smart and know how to present himself to people, when he wants his intelligence to be seen and when not. He is very ambitious, constantly working on papers and in innovative medicine so he can be the one to have his name known. He has a somewhat suspicious, sneaky and sarcastic streak, one that definitely comes out during the Dominion War. He’s one of the few people aboard DS9 friends with Garak, involved with Section 31, and often likes mystery/spy stories in his free time - he enjoys mystery and intrigue. Because of his ambition, cleverness, wit, daring and extreme determination, he is placed in Slytherin House.

Starfleet-Houses » Commander Pavel Chekov: A young man of many talents. Even though he tends to be obsessed with his Russian heritage and blinds himself assigning different discoveries to them, but most of his crewmembers view this as a strange quirk. He doubles as both a navigator and a sciences officer, and he’s quite knowledgeable about history, sciences, and space travel. He is sorted into Ravenclaw House.

Starfleet-Houses » Elim Garak: Shrewd, cunning, secretive, mysterious and silver-tongued, Garak is a fine example of a Slytherin. He buries his true self under an intricate web of lies and is a very talented spy, as professed by his years in the Obsidian Order. His allegiances change like water, but he always knows what choice to make to save his own skin.

Starfleet-Houses » Captain James T. Kirk: Likely the most famous and most-decorated Starfleet captain in history, James Kirk is very forward, aggressive, charismatic and powerful. His devotion to Starfleet and his ability to brave through unknown danger, fighting for the sake of “good” as his personal moral values dictate, as well as a certain disregard for the rules where necessary earn him a place in Gryffindor House.

Starfleet-Houses » Q: The omnipotent pest that has tormented Picard, Sisko and Janeway alike, Q is a definite shoo-in for Slytherin. He’s cunning, clever, thinks he’s incredibly hilarious, has little care for the trivial cares and feelings of species below him, lives entirely by his own set of rules and bows to no one else, is very independent, and causes havoc wherever he steps. He sees people as little playthings and unworthy of his real attention. He has a few bonds - but is incredibly selective about them, and still then refuses to admit his closeness to these people. Even in the Q continuum, he is the renegade and the rule breaker, the irrepressible Q.

Starfleet-Houses » Rom: While at first glance Rom might seem talentless and malicious, like Quark believes he is, Rom is actually progressive for a Ferengi, and very clever; he knows his way around machines well, is creative, imaginative and eager. He knows how to be a Ferengi, despite what his brother might say - finances might not be his forte, but technological workarounds, getting to the hearts of his clientele, and strong family ties are. He is sorted into Ravenclaw house.
