galamida:

It’s never over
My kingdom for a kiss upon her shoulder.
It’s never over
All my riches for her smiles when I slept so soft against her.
It’s never over
All my blood for the sweetness of her laughter.
It’s never over
She’s the tear that hangs inside my sould forever.

But maybe I’m too young to keep good love from going wrong.

Favorite Musicians: Jeff Buckley

Remember when I moved in you, and the Holy Dove was moving too, and every breath we drew was hallelujah?

“I took this photo of Jeff Buckley at WGNS studio in D.C. We were hanging out in-between recording songs for a radio thing. He was reading a very untoward publication that had been recommended by the mag Ben Is Dead and that I had in my possession. Sorry I wrote on the photo in Paint. Oops.”- Johnny Riggs  (late 94-early 95) taken with super shitty disposable camera and rather dazzling results with that considered.

rollingstone:

In my early shows,” Jeff Buckley says, “I wanted to put myself through a new childhood, disintegrating my whole identity to let the real one emerge. I became a human jukebox, learning all these songs I’d always known, discovering the basics of what I do. The cathartic part was in the essential act of singing. When is it that the voice becomes an elixir? It’s during flirting, courtship, sex. Music’s all that.

Jeff Buckley died 16 years ago today.
