I love how shocked Kirk’s face was when Spock says that he expected Garth to win, something like “But.. you didn’t expect me to win?” and Spock tried quickly fix it with the "Because of your depleted condition.“
Well, we have these crystals of love, from Mudd. For some reason, Chapel trusts him. Chapel, you’re not so dumb, please. But well, she trusts him and tries to use the love crystals on Spock.
(Actually, is a pretty good scene. If I knew make gifs, I totally had made one. Chapel is talking with Spock when she suddenly “falls” on Spock’s lap. Not that I blame her: I totally would fall on Spock’s lap if I could).
Okay, right. The crystals delay, but make effect. Blahblahblah, Chapel is trapped in the planet with Mudd, and Spock is totally “OMG gotta save my love” and all the bridge crew, specially Kirk and McCoy are all “O.O”.
So, they beam down in the planet. Spock almost falls, and Kirk grabs his arm and Spock is totally “I totally likes to have a BFF like you Jim” and Jim is all “I feel the same way, dude” and have this half hug that is… just beautiful.
So, Spock and Kirk found Chapel and Mudd. Spock is all “Don’t worry babe I will protect you in my strong arms” and Chapel, of course, think is strange, but isn’t like she dislike the Spock’s attitude. (I don’t blame her).
So, giant rock monster (LORD I LOVE TAS) is pursuing they. Kirk try contact the ship, but everyone is affected on the love crystals and are all “Let’s dance and laugh, fuck the captain”.
In this moment, they’re hiding and Spock is hugging Chapel and Kirk becames all angry, “Could you get your hands of her for a fucking second?” and Spock is all “This is not about your fucking bussiness” and Kirk is “Let’s get things clear here”.
But we’ll never know what things had to be clear, because Spock interrupts Kirk and says that they’re reacting to the crystals, and Kirk is “Yeah, we have to control our emotions”…
So… Kirk have to control his emotions. Because he is angry. And the moment that he became angry was the moment when he saw that Spock was hugging Chapel.
…
Right.
Don’t have so much more after it. Kirk gave the crystals to the giant rock monsters, the crystals left to have effect on the crew and they beam up the four. The side effect of the crystal is several hours of hate, so, Chapel is hating Spock, Mudd is arrested again and end.
