“I did pull a prank on Scott once. We were doing an episode called Dear Doctor which had me providing voice-over throughout the episode, which we would hear over the image. The way we managed to make sure that the picture lasted long enough to match the dialog is we prerecorded the dialog and played it over the scene as we acted it. So I asked them if they would allow me to record some fake dialog. So the scene was me standing on the bridge & I was supposed to say something to the effect of: Isn’t it marvelous the way these humans are so kind & considerate; stopping to help people in need here in the middle of space? Instead, I said: Doesn’t the captain look nice in that tight suit? Mmmm, I wonder if he’s wearing any underwear…”
