Another one, because I need to draw at least three of them. Obviously.
(It’s 2 am, I have no idea what I’m doing. I’m not even sure whether this is a vampire or a sad lost puppy.)

Hey, everyone! School and other things keep me busy, so I haven’t been around for awhile, and probably will not be in near future.

I want to wish you happy upcoming Halloween, and thank people who are part of my life. That includes all of you guys I’ve met in online and talked to, and received messages from.

Special thanks to VC fandom in the form of this illustration (*˘︶˘*).。.:*♡

Very slowly I turned, and I saw Louis’s unmistakable form emerging from the shadows. Only Louis. The light of the candles slowly revealed his placid and slightly gaunt face.

He had on a dusty sad coat, and his worn shirt was open at the collar, and he looked faintly cold. He approached me slowly and clasped my shoulder with a firm hand.

“Something dreadful’s going to happen to you again,” he said, the light of the candles playing exquisitely in his dark green eyes. “You’re going to see to it. I know.”

“I’ll win out,” I said with a little uneasy laugh, a tiny giddy happiness at seeing him. Then a shrug. “Don’t you know that by now? I always do.”

Hannibal/Interview with the vampire parallel

genufa:

sherlock-spock:

Am I the only one to see a parallel between Hannibal/Will/Abigail and Lestat/Louis/Claudia?

100% intentional and also why Murder Family was doomed. If you read IWTV at the age Fuller and I did, your detailed and clear understanding of why that set of interpersonal dynamics is unhealthy and will eventually end with someone being set on fire is, like, baked into your soul.

As a really huge fan of the Vampire Chronicles, this was a parallel that I caught very quickly in Hannibal for my personal delight. Now, not only the dynamics of the murder families and how doomed they both are, but their personalities are similar as well and I’m sorry but I’ll probably ramble a bit bc I’m very passionate about VC and Hannibal parallels ~~

I see a lot of Lestat in Hannibal (or at least pre-Memnoch Lestat); Lestat delights in being ruthless in his killings, he sees the world as a savage garden and loves its sheer beauty and violence, he has a giant god complex - and especially, Lestat loves to defy rules and fuck shit up just to see what will happen next.

Now, Louis and Will also have a lot in common. Louis tried to cling to his humanity for a really, really long time, and tried to punish himself for enjoying the pleasure of killing so much; Louis also, eventually, accepted his own darkness [even if he doesn’t personally delight in his powers like Lestat does], he accepted how much he loves and needs Lestat and how much he was incapable of even imagining existence without him.

With Abigail and Claudia is slightly different. Claudia is a very tragic character - she was turned before she could be human, so she was a perfect monster from the start, incapable of understanding humanity. Abigail isn’t like this; while she enjoyed murdering, she was more often than not a tool in the hands of killers who didn’t really asked for her opinion, and that’s the main thing that connects Abigail and Claudia for me; neither of them had much of a choice in their destinies, and both of them were killed [directly or indirectly] by their fathers.

Oh man this is actually giant I’m sorry for writing so much but it’s very late and I have a lot of feelings about  Hannibal. And about Vampire Chronicles and I may or not may have an entire AU of this thing on my head where I also placed Alana as Armand, Bedelia as David and Freddie as Daniel

I wanted to try drawing out my headcanon appearances for Lestat and Louis again… I’m pretty satisfied this time.

Characters belong to Anne Rice and not me.

“Evil is a point of view. We are immortal. And what we have before us are the rich feasts that conscience cannot appreciate and mortal men cannot know without regret. God kills, and so shall we; indiscriminately He takes the richest and the poorest, and so shall we; for no creatures under God are as we are, none so like Him as ourselves, dark angels not confined to the stinking limits of hell but wandering His earth and all its kingdoms.”
