I deleted my last post because i’m taking back what i said lmao Carlotta’s actress IS very good, when she started the whole “You mother was the bane of my existence” monologue and her batshit crazy actions in the sequence… yeah that’s a good adaptation of Carlotta alright
I think Lasher’s killing the hitman who killed Deirdre is a reference to how in the book he drove Lionel to madness and soon after killed him for the murder of Stella.
And both of them are the ‘hitman’ in a sense, since Carlotta was the one to actually plan Stella’s murder, and the show is implying Cortland was the one to plan Deirdre’s.
Cortland cutting some of Deirdre’s hair… he’s so going to build one of those cursed as hell Mayfair dolls made of bone and hair and blood with that, isn’t he
I was worried for a moment that they were going to try to make Carlotta justified in a she had good intentions way but nope, glad to see that they’re keeping her evil and rotten to the core
I had a feeling that it isn’t Lasher the one who killed Deirdre, because a) really a little too obvious if it’s him and b) I have the feeling that while Lasher is utterly ruthless, hurting one of his witches /on purpose/ and killing them to achieve his goal is not really his modus operandis - at least as a spirit, he can be patient.
they can always change it on the show ofc, but, this exchange, the way Lasher was so angry…
it has to be Cortland, some way or another, this fucker
