Well, well, I found this fic absolutely excellent. I love Q with all my heart, he is probably my favorite character after Data, and his interventions in this story are absolutely hilarious. It’s really adorable!

This is one of those heartbreaking moments in Search For Spock.  Sarek melds with Kirk to find out what happened, and to search for Spock’s katra within him.  They actually go through the scene, Sarek speaking Spock’s final words.

“I have been, and always shall be, your friend.  Live long…and prosper.”

And at the end, at this moment, Kirk just says ‘No’, but it’s so lost, and broken.

Moments like these are why I think Kirk and Spock were far more than just friends.
