Both Hannibal and Will found peace at the end of “The Wrath of the Lamb“. We can see it in both the last scene of s3 and the deleted scene.
“One rose leaf, falling from an enormous height, like a little parachute dropped from an invisible balloon, turns, flutters waveringly.”
Virginia Woolf, The String Quartet. [insp.]
Will Graham - The Wrath of the Lamb {Cherry Tree}
“The transience of the blossoms, the exquisite beauty and volatility, has often been associated with mortality and graceful and readily acceptance of destiny and karma.“
Will comes to a conclusion at the beginning of this episode. He knows what he has to do and is ready to accept his destiny, whatever it is. He has accepted himself completely. At the end of this episode we see a new painting at Bedelia’s living room (a branch of a cherry tree).
Are you accusing me of something? Does the enemy inside you agree with the accusation? Even a little bit?
