HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU TOO HONEY
Thank you for the supportive message! Really. But I’m in a much better mood about this subject now; sure, I’m always insecure, but I used to be much more insecure about it. But since I was admitted in the university and in the middle of the next year I’ll start to study Cinema in college, I’m not being so discouraged like I used to be by people’s words.
The Laughing Gnome is a single released in Bowie’s early career - it have a gnome voice (?) and silly lyrics; some fans think this is his worst song, but I think it’s kind of cute.
Besides, Bowie recorded Never Let Me Down and The Laughing Gnome is a masterpiece next to this album
I don’t know exactly what albums you listened to, but I guess my favs would be:
- The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and The Spiders from Mars
- Aladdin Sane
- Hunky Dory
- Diamond Dogs
- Heroes
- Low
- The Man Who Sold The World
- Hours
- Scary Monsters (And Super Creeps)
- Station to Station
- Heathen
- Let’s Dance
- Reality
The good thing in being a Bowie fan is that you have a really great diversity of genres with only one artist. Wants folk? Space Oddity. Glam? Aladdin and Ziggy. Funk? Young Americans. Pop? Let’s Dance and mayybe Tonight just don’t Never Let me Down not ever Eletronic? Outside and Earthling, and so it goes.
I’ll stop here because it’s always hard to stop when Bowie is involved and someone is asking for recommendations lol
I’m sorry I’m babbling, but I hope it helped you. Any special request or rec or anything specific or anything else you can come to me, anon or not!
I’m so glad you liked it, anon! It’s one of my favorites Bowie albums in the 90’s, it’s totally worth listening and I recommend to everyone :3
[I’ve listened every official David Bowie album, and some non official albums and singles and forgotten songs of his early career and bonus songs several times, and I’m not trying to sound like a snob or anything, I just want to tell that it’s worth listening every single thing, even The Laughing Gnome]
Hum, yes, it’s no secret.
Hi! Thank you for the kindness, but yes, I’m aware about how works the tumblr tagging system - I just have an almost psychotic obsession with tagging things.
I like Star Wars yes, but it’s been a while since I last watched ~~
❤ male: it’s a match between Han Solo and Obi-Wan [Ewan’s version]
❤ female: Padmé
✖ least favorite: I never could really like Luke
✔ who resembles me: I like to pretend that I am Han Solo, but I don’t think I resemble anyone
❤ most attractive: Obi-Wan Kenobi [Ewan’s version] and Padmé
❤ three more characters that i like: R2D2, C3PO, Darth Vader
Almost all my posts about movies are tagged, and most definitely, all the Lone Ranger posts. If you’re talking about the earlier post, it wasn’t a Lone Ranger post, it was a Johnny Depp interview that happened to have a Tonto picture in the background, so, I didn’t tagged it with the movie tag. In this case, I suggest you blacklist ‘Johnny Depp’ or ‘depp’ as well.
Haha, no! My original language is Portuguese, I’m Brazilian. And thanks anon! My English is pretty bad, but I do my best.
Oh my, haha, thank you very much for the kindness, anon! :D
