Ah, the beginning of the sexual charged interactions between Malcolm and Major Hayes… they are exquisite
T’Pol and Archer’s dynamic is truly underrated. The way he asks her to review what he’s going to write, that he’s even willing to let her be the one who write about his dad… the way T’Pol tries to reason with Archer instead of letting him in the dark even when she knows he’s been affected as well… they can be such a good team
I honestly enjoy T’Pol and Archer’s relationship a lot. I only dislike it during the times they tried to make it all weird and sexual or romantic, because Scott Bakula and Jolene Blalock never had this kind of chemistry and it was just painful to watch (as it is most times they do the annoying aggressive sexual scenes/text with T’Pol), but during the times we can see the bond between them, the trust they place in each other… is actually a very endearing relationship

can’t believe T’Pol has just murdered her captain in cold blood like that
(for context, in this episode Archer keeps seeing a beautiful woman wearing nothing but a nightgown in a rogue planet where there are no other humans, and he keeps pestering everyone about this)
Malcolm’s face when he thinks Hoshi is hitting on him is amazing, like he’s only thinking “How do i get out of this”

are you really going to tell me that this is a straight man
I mean, this episode have its issues and I don’t like how it plays with some sexist pregnancy cliches but like, Enterprise can certainly do worse (it will do worse, especially in season 2 if my memory serves, ugh), so at least this is idk. Bit funnier

can you believe they did this less than five episodes after the pilot… Enterprise is great, you guys are just mean
I love how both Archer and T’Pol in the beginning of the episode are like, “Trip, please mind you manners in the alien ship, please don’t do anything stupid” and still he managed to come back knocked up
We finally started the Enterprise (my re)watch, and honestly… Broken Bow is way better than I remember it being? I mean, I wouldn’t call it a masterpiece, but it’s actually a strong episode who does very well the job of introducing these characters and what makes them tick, and the plot is also interesting enough
