I could see the thing with Chris Rios coming from a mile off but god, i hate hate hate it
listen, i’ve been a Qcard shipper for over what… ten years now? i’ve been living off scraps and the occasional Ron Moore quote where he reminds us that the TNG writing staff thought Q was in love with Picard, so you can say that i’m feeling a little. overwhelmed now

Wes??

one thing tho that keep going on and on in my mind about all the flashbacks Picard had all through the season about his childhood is where… where’s Robert. Where’s Picard’s brother. The flashbacks act as if he was an only child but lmao. Where’s his brother in all this.
“I used to imagine seeing her older,”

”Offering me a cup of tea,”

“And asking for a chat.”

“If only I had left that door closed, she might have become an old woman.”

“I loved her. Desperately.”

Star Trek: The Next Generation, Episode
Where
No One Has Gone Before (1987) // Star Trek: Picard, Episode Hide and Seek (2022)
Forgot to mention it in my last Picard watch, but wow, I know the Soong family never had like the strongest moral code or anything (and Arik Soong was Like That) but wow, Adam Soong is like. Absolutely deranged. Evil crazy scientist levels. Like, the further back you go into the timeline it seems the Soongs only get worse and worse
intrigued about why this new Guinan appears to have no memory of Picard, since they it’s 2024 and they first meet in the 19th century but I suppose is like, time-traveling/time altering shenanigans? since they’re coming from a future with no Federation then Time’s Arrow never happened or something like that etc etc
Third episode of the Picard show was pretty good, loved the scenes between Seven and Raffi (girlfriend!!) and I’m intrigued by the plot with Chris Rios as well. But the thing with Elnor…. aw man
the reality Q crafted in this episode feels remarkably like the one that the antagonist characters in Enterprise’s Terra Prime really wanted - xenophobic totalitarism, humanity’s superiority, etecetera, a future that colonel Green would have wanted
