Kathryn Janeway (Star Trek Voyager) I remember watching Voyager when it first started and I loved the fact it had a female Captain. 

Kirk and Picard were both great Captains and I especially liked Picard, but when Kathryn Janeway appeared, it was like a breath of fresh air. She had authority, intelligence and compassion for her own crew and that of Maquis. She wasn’t afraid to make hard decisions and everyone had respect for her. I always hoped there would be a Voyager movie, but unfortunately it never happened :-(
