A sloped old-fashioned awning protected them from the hissing rain. He looked out into the garden that was standing valiantly against the million little blows, tilting his head slightly to show he’d heard the question and was just taking his time with the answer.

In my free time (basically all the time) I like sometimes thinking about significance of the length of neck cut in cardassian clothes, usually it involves comparing Tain’s outfit and military uniform, but just now I thought how probably bland starfleet’s uniform appears to a general (space lizard) observer and how hot the first reveal of neck might be :)
