The dialogues between Hannibal and Dolarhyde are so intense, it even makes me feel a little bad for him because he really doesn’t want to hurt Reba. It’s quite bittersweet., just like Will and Molly’s scene - there’s a lot of sadness for couples in this episode.
Speaking about couples, I also love the last scene so much. The angry, whispered arguments between Will and Hannibal brings me so much joy ~
I really enjoy Richard Armitage’s performance as Dolarhyde. He manages to convince me when he’s playing the tormented, fearful man and when he’s playing the cold blooded, merciless serial killer. The scene when he invades Molly’s house is always quite scary.
Speaking about Molly, she’s such a badass - it never ceases to amaze me how quickly she took control of the situation and managed to save herself and her son from a really dangerous, really competent killer.
I’m not fortune’s fool. I’m yours.
I love this quote so much - this entire scene actually. Will keeps trying to convince Hannibal saying things like “tell me who they are, we can save this family” and Hannibal just have this “do I look like I care” expression all the time and despite the serious tone of the scene, I can’t help but find it funny
They’re not my family, Will. And I’m not letting them die - you are. Hannibal, Hannibal, you DICK.
One of the (many) things that I love in Hannibal is the relationship between Jack and Alana
I mean, they sure as hell have a lot of disagreements, Alana yells a lot at Jack and he completely ignores her advices if it suits him, but they always seem to respect each other a lot - even in s2 when Alana was mad as hell at Jack during most of the season
And in s3 their relationship manifests itself in subtle, tender ways - Alana being the one helping Jack in choosing Bella’s dress for her funeral, Alana looking distraught when Mason told her that Jack was killed, confessing to Will that she thought that Jack would save the day in the end of everything
(This is besides the point, but it also reminds me that I love so much that one of the first things that Alana says to Will when they’re alone in Digestivo is “Jack’s alive”, maybe thinking that Will was worried… and Will is just like “yeah yeah whatever, I don’t care”. That’s just cold, man)
And in the last half of s3 I love their secretive meetings with Will and the small interactions - Alana looks annoyed/somewhat surprised when Jack talks about Dolarhyde’s suicide being a good thing, but she doesn’t contradict him. I know that Hannibal says at some point that Jack had never visited him, but it makes me think if he kept a close relationship with Alana, because they still seem to have an easy, familiar dynamic around each other
The sex scene between Reba and Francis are always so visually pleasing to watch. Everything is just so gorgeous, especially when Reba is glowing like a sun - it’s truly beautiful. I’m actually enjoying more all the scenes with Reba and Francis in this rewatch - I liked the first time around, but now I’m liking even more.
But the highlight of this episode is Bedelia, of course. I never ever get tired of all the Will/Bedelia interactions. Bedelia just likes to throw all the harsh truths in Will’s face and he is so damn bitchy and salty with her all the time, it’s so much fun to watch. I get that Will have a big thing for retribution (Even Steven/You play, you pay) and that he’s pissed that Bedelia played like he played but never got the consequences that he had, but damn dude, tone it down a little
I watched it go from 27 to 29 and i think they added Alana and Margot I’m not sure but this still makes me unbelievably happy.
I am so ecstatic that they defied all odds and made it on this list.
