I had come to live a penniless existence. I had come to write about truth, beauty, freedom and that which l believed in above all things: love.
MOULIN ROUGE! dir. Baz Luhrmann
The Singing in the Rain number took all day to set up–and Gene Kelly was very ill some say with a fever over 101. When it was all set up, Kelly insisted on doing a take–even though the blocking was only rudimentary starting and ending positions only, and the director was ready to send him home. He ad-libbed most of it and it only took one take, which is what you see on film.

More experimentation with light, this time in a season 1 spirit. I chose a white tulip for the lapel since those are often found in wedding bouquets. Aside from symbolizing love, purity and innocence, a white tulip might also represent forgiveness.
All the hardest, coldest people you meet were once as soft as water. And that’s the tragedy of living.

Sketches - Women of Star Trek by Dahkur
Actually I wanted to do some sketches in a brown-reddish hue to use as basics for colour drawings. Somehow I got a bit carried away and only stopped when I realised that there seemed to be no end to great female characters in the Star Trek TV series.
So it’s hopefully all of the leading females plus the recurring ones that made it into the picture before I realised that it is way too much.
Nonetheless it was fun! Some of the characters I never did before.

Summer’s howls were long and sad, full of grief and longing. Shaggydog’s were more savage. Their voices echoed through the yards and halls until the castle rang and it seemed as though some very pack of direwolves haunted Winterfell, instead of only two… two where they had once been six. Do they miss their brothers and sisters too? Bran wondered. Are they calling to Grey Wind and Ghost, to Nymeria and Lady’s Shade? Do they want them to come home and be a pack together?” ― A Clash Of Kings
