Can’t leave Kate out of the mix here, she was only 19 when her debut LP, The Kick Inside was released in 1978. It’s no mystery that I’m a huge fan, if you’ve followed the blog for a while. This song was not only a number one hit in England, but it was the first time a woman had reached that spot with a composition of her own writing, did I already mention, she was only 19!!
