I think my monster encourages your monster.
I think I wanted it to.KILLING EVE 1.08 / 2.08 / 3.08
Whisper that you love me, that you’ll never leave me.
I finished the third season of Killing Eve yesterday, and it was a pretty good episode and I loved all the Villaneve scenes. It was overall a good season, but it was on the lukewarm side. I would by no means call it bad but it was the weakest season so far, perhaps
I think the reason for that, honestly, is that Villanelle and Eve had so few scenes together, and their relationship is the heart of this show, and it suffers when they’re so long apart.
Don’t get me wrong, I think their evolutions apart where great, with Villanelle learning she doesn’t want to be a hitwoman anymore and Eve letting go the old life she really didn’t really want anymore, and this seeason was still very much focused on them, they still were very obsessed with each other, but this show truly thrives in the scenes where Sandra and Jodie are in a scene together, and it suffers with its absence.
I have said it when s2 ended, and now I’ll say it again - Eve and Villanelle need to know each other better. They need to spend more time together and to have more scenes of their own - it’s truly the key to make this show great.
