Thank for you the lovely words!  The colors thing is such a exercise in intense self monitoring. I won’t tell you it’s so easy as ‘Oh, just try using bolder colors!’ because I fought with it for a long time. My work was so light it could hardly been seen from several paces back for years.  If you really force yourself, though, after a painful while, it’ll start being natural and your older work will look too pale!
