@iamkatsudone here you go, I think you mentioned this one.

Data experiencing his 262nd distinct emotional state when he finds Spot after the destruction of the Enterprise-D. Film - Star Trek: Generations 1:50:37

I love this so much. By this point, Data must be so wary of his emotions. Up till this moment, they have caused nothing but trouble. Lore’s siphoning of emotions to Data in S7 E1 Descent: Part Two causes Data to torture and almost kill his best friend, causing him to almost destroy the emotion chip. All throughout Generations, the sudden introduction of emotions cause him to be too afraid to save Geordi, too wracked with worry and guilt to execute his orders, and so frustrated that he eventually begs Picard to shut him down. It must seem like this thing that he has wanted for so long and worked so hard for is just ugly and terrible. But then this moment comes, when he finds Spot amidst the wreckage of the Enterprise-D, and he is so startled and confused by his own reaction that he immediately begins to worry that this is yet another instance of his emotions being a problem. But Troi is there to reassure him, and everything is okay. He can just hug his cat and experience his emotions without analyzing and worrying about them.

I think we’ve all kind of felt that way at some point - like we aren’t being the way we’re supposed to be, or like we need to constantly check our feelings and thoughts to make sure we aren’t All Wrong. And there are times for that. But sometimes there are just times to cry into a cat and just let yourself be.

[Image: Six gifs. 1) Troi explains to Picard: “They are related to the Vulcans, but as each race developed, their differences grew wider. 2) Troi and Riker are in disguise as Mintakans. Troi says: “A very sensible people. For example, Mintakan women precede their mates.” 3) Mirasta Yale, surprised, says “What are you?” Deanna replies: “We’ve come with some very important information.” 4) Picard says “Counselor, what are these beings trying to tell us?” Deanna replies: “They’re calling for help”. 5) Deanna says: “We’ve been thinking in three dimensions. We have to get two-dimensional!” 6) Preparing for a meeting, Picard says: “Say the greeting again?” Deanna replies: “Yew-cheen chef-faw. Emphasis on the ‘cheen’ and the ‘faw’.”]
