Amuse-bouche (S1E02)

How much do I love this exchange? Let me count the ways. 

I love how Hannibal is feeling out how Will’s discomfort is not about the fact that he killed Garret Jacob Hobbs, but that he enjoyed it (which is of course what Hannibal wants to hear). 

And I love how in that context, Will’s assertion that he doesn’t consider Hobbs his victim, just someone who is dead is significant in that he doesn’t feel guilty for killing Hobbs. At first glance he’s being flippant but he’s really being defensive about how he feels about it - or doesn’t feel about it.

And I love how the only solid eye contact Will gives is at the end, his desperate head shake, admitting he understands the thrill of killing now, and that’s what’s bothering him.
