I do think that Odo loves Kira, but it was a love born of loneliness, of the foreign things and feelings and his lack of knowledge about what he is and what he is for the world; I think that perhaps he would never loved her at all if he had just a little bit of knowledge about himself at the time, but he didn’t had it. But I really can see why you think that he didn’t really felt love for Kira. Odo is a very complex character who can bring a lot of different opinions about him and his actions, and all of them may be right.

Yep, pretty much it. Odd time, odd circunstances to bring up something that before seemed to be a closed arc of story.

I don’t know, it’s just sounds like a lazy move for me. Especially in a series like DS9, who usually gives a lot of thought in character development. The Bashir of the season six is not the same as the season one, and while feelings and a unrequited love can stay the same during years and years, I don’t think this is the case here.

Especially because Julian, even being older now, even that he kept a secret all his life, still is a transparent guy in some things, as Jadzia pointed out in ‘Ressurrection’, and people in love during years in a case of one sided love don’t act the way that he acts with Jadzia. People with an one sided love during years acts, for example, like the way that Odo acts with Kira; this one seems so much more accurate representation for me in this subject [and I still don’t know how no one in that station didn’t noticed Odo’s love for Kira, this people are more dispersive than me] .

But I don’t now how things will be going forward, it may be forgotten or it may have a good development of both characters that I actually will like and I may be ranting here for nothing, idk

Eu gostei muito, muito mesmo deste episódio, e não apenas pelos paralelos do episódio com a história da franquia, mas também pela própria maneira com a qual eles se referiram a como os trabalhos de ficção em geral funcionam para o grande público, e quão reais eles podem ser. Sem falar que foi uma bela quebrada na quarta parede, e adoro episódios assim…

Eu não sabia e nunca tinha nem associado que a DC Fontana teve de usar esse artifício para escrever, mas realmente, faz todo sentido do mundo… infelizmente :T E é mais um motivo para exaltar esse episódio tão bonito.
