Man, I dunno, but I think I will blame January for my grumpy-lonely self. This time of the year make my life looks worst than never

With Odo, what I have for him was love at first sight. I liked him immediatly, since his first “Who the hell are you?” for Sisko. I love his mistery, his angst, his personality and the mistery that he is for itself. Garak was also love at first sight, but Garak showed up in very much less episodes.

But I guess that my thoughts are very similar to yours; Odo have something definitely unknown about him. Yes, Star Trek have lots of aliens, and we learn lots of differente cultures and thoughts and ways to see life, but with Odo is just something different. Something… wild, a very essence who remains in the shadows almost all the time, and sometimes appears on the surface, something that reminds me sometimes that he is way too different than the characters I’m used to.

With Garak… I’m still knowing him. I’m only in the season three of DS9, and I’m watching the series for the very first time. But every piece of him that I am knowing, I’m loving. He’s very complex, with so many faces and so many secrets. He’s not a good guy, but he’s not exactly a bad guy. It’s just impossible to see him like a good-or-bad character. He’s so much more. And he’s always surprising me in some way, but like you said, I believe it is because of a severe training.

And let me said that the end of the episode that I just saw (The Die is Cast) just made me love them both even more. I never thad noticed until then, but they do share things in common. Also, I do think that the actors have great chemistry on screen; the interrogation scenes were just remarkable.

And you were totally right! Damn, my OTPs in Star Trek series are always way too intense and always gives me too much feelings, I don’t know how to deal with it c:

This is the best part! You know, the fact that in Star Trek, tropes like “fuck or die” and “spores/diseases made us make it” are actually canon never cease to amuse me.
