@hannigram-hell I’m very… wary about this. I’m trying to not be downright pessimistic about it, but Anne Rice is not making it easier for me ~~
I don’t know if you read Prince Lestat so I’m not going to give spoilers, but I have so many mixed feelings for that book. In one hand I think is wonderfully written, so much better than Blood Canticle and Blackwood Farm… in the other hand I disagree with so many, MANY important decisions that AR made in that book that I’m not sure if I’m gonna like this sequel at all :~~ Of course, there’s always the chance that I’ll like, but… I won’t hold my breath.
(Frankly my best hopes is that we will have more Lestat/Louis moments and that Anne Rice won’t fuck up any more of my fav characters)
@v-e-l-v-e-t-g-o-l-d-m-i-n-e yep. My thoughts exactly. I waited for *forever* for PL (as we all did lol) and I loved the writing as I always do but the storyline and the characters… I don’t.. I don’t know. I wasn’t happy. And I wasn’t sure how to tell her that because I participated in the countdown with all the PotP regulars, lol. So I just didn’t say anything? And then this news comes out about the RoA book and I’m like…
@hannigram-hell Right? Prince Lestat is such a mess, so full of really bland characters like Rose and Viktor, and it felt really… unnecessary? I just wish she had spend more time working in the old characters (like Armand who was really really expressionless in PL) instead of having so many new and dispensable characters, sigh, I have so many issues with this book
