The Hogwarts’ Houses.

Starfleet-Houses » Ambassador Lwaxana Troi: Flirtatious, flighty, ever-changing except for her taste for the flamboyant and luxurious, Lwaxana is quite a ‘cheery’ Slytherin. She’s very stubborn, ambitious (especially with her love interests) demanding, capricious and a touch vengeful. Despite being a Betazoid, she can be a little insensitive and gets under the skin of many people.

Starfleet-Houses » Lieutenant Julian Bashir: While this was a very difficult sorting choice - Bashir is incredibly intelligent, which might put him in Ravenclaw - but one has to remember Bashir’s intelligence is fabricated through eugenics; through cheating. Bashir is incredibly smart and know how to present himself to people, when he wants his intelligence to be seen and when not. He is very ambitious, constantly working on papers and in innovative medicine so he can be the one to have his name known. He has a somewhat suspicious, sneaky and sarcastic streak, one that definitely comes out during the Dominion War. He’s one of the few people aboard DS9 friends with Garak, involved with Section 31, and often likes mystery/spy stories in his free time - he enjoys mystery and intrigue. Because of his ambition, cleverness, wit, daring and extreme determination, he is placed in Slytherin House.

Starfleet-Houses » Elim Garak: Shrewd, cunning, secretive, mysterious and silver-tongued, Garak is a fine example of a Slytherin. He buries his true self under an intricate web of lies and is a very talented spy, as professed by his years in the Obsidian Order. His allegiances change like water, but he always knows what choice to make to save his own skin.

Starfleet-Houses » Q: The omnipotent pest that has tormented Picard, Sisko and Janeway alike, Q is a definite shoo-in for Slytherin. He’s cunning, clever, thinks he’s incredibly hilarious, has little care for the trivial cares and feelings of species below him, lives entirely by his own set of rules and bows to no one else, is very independent, and causes havoc wherever he steps. He sees people as little playthings and unworthy of his real attention. He has a few bonds - but is incredibly selective about them, and still then refuses to admit his closeness to these people. Even in the Q continuum, he is the renegade and the rule breaker, the irrepressible Q.
