—Star Trek “Surprise!” - New Voyages 2 (Novel)
Yesterday I posted a piece of the story ‘Surprise’, from New Voyages 2, by Nichelle Nichols. I took the opportunity to read it again because I barely remembered it, and I forgot to comment yesterday, but holy fuck, this story is pure slash.
Besides the fact that Jim thought for a moment that Spock wanted to spank him and the fact that Spock thought that was a good idea carry the captain in his arms by the corridors of the Enterprise for two times with all the crew watching, it have another precious moments.
For example, it have a scene when Jim enters in Spock’s quarters practically naked (almost giving poor Uhura a heart attack), a scene when Spock mocks Kirk paraphrasing Kirk’s sentences in Amok Time, a scene when Spock holds Jim (sort of) and Jim have to ask Spock for unhand him, and a fantastic fluffy, sweet end.
Seriously, I wouldn’t rate this story in nothing less than pre slash.

You know, I never noticed this scene, and it’s not from lack of paying attention. It’s just…THERE’S TOO MUCH K/S SLASH. There, I said it. I almost didn’t want to reblog it because I didn’t think it was that slashy compared to other shit I’ve seen on the show. Then I stopped and realized holy fuck, how lucky are K/S fans? Look, in other fandoms you’ll see the same photosets over and over of the same few scenes for any given slash pairing, but here’s a new photoset right here and this show has been here since 1967.
