I really like the idea of Q accidentally calling Picard mon cheri instead of mon capitaine on accident once. And he panics and teleports away while Picard is freaking out like “He did mean to say mon capitaine, right? …Right!?”

And then after that he just starts calling PIcard french terms of endearment on purpose because it frustrates him. This leads to exchanges like this:
