Surely not an officer. He isn’t quite human, is he?

First there was McCoy’s Alice in Wonderland where there was supposedly no animal life. And Sulu’s gun where there’s no refined metal detected. Rodriguez’ birds. And then my, well, the two people I saw.

I’ve been struggling with the feeling that something of Spock has been lost in the face of Leonard Nimoy’s death. And as such, engaging the fandom these past couple days has felt so discordant. 

But Spock, and all of Nimoy’s other work, is left here for us, for his fans and honorary grandchildren. To feel that Spock is lost is to deny Leonard his immortality. 

Spock still lives. And Leonard Nimoy lives through him.

So, williamshatner wasn’t to pleased his ship was damaged today. NASA is blaming air and space.

Ohmygosh this makes me so happy

this is the stuff I live for

I really don’t know which pleases my soul more: 

the entirety of the US (and much of the rest of the world’s) air and space focused programs treating William Shatner as their real captain with such utter affection, 

or William Shatner playing along while lovingly pulling them all to his chest like he’s the proud patriarch of this big adventurous, geeky family.

William Fucking Shatner is a gift from the Great Bird of the Galaxy. And Canada. Thanks Canada.
