Well, I’ve done wedding photos, a proposal photo, and now I might as well drop off an engagement/save-the-date photo. The emerald ring is the only colored item in the photo, but it’s a bit hard to tell. Doesn’t Louis look so bashful? x)
from the end of “Queen of the Damned.” For me, panel 3 is the most poignant part of all of this. Something about my poor book boyfriend standing there (probably for a long time before Lestat arrived) all sad hurts me.

The moment immediately preceding Louis’ transformation. It took a little while to get Louis’ O-Face perfect, but now I’m very pleased with the overall piece.

from “Interview with the Vampire,” when Louis slams a window in Lestat’s face, briefly stunning him, giving Louis enough time to take out his earrings, pull back his hair, and get ready to give Lestat the ol’ Southern Lousiana Backhand.
Considering “Lestat hitting a window” yielded no search results in Google Images, forcing me to consult my own scuffed imagination, I’m thrilled with how well this came out.

Won’t you indulge a dream of mine? It’s Lestat and Louis reuniting at the end of “The Vampire Lestat,” but it’s Tom and Brad. There’s even some scuffed subtitles like it’s a movie or something.

from the aftermath of Louis’ near-suicide in “Merrick,” when Lestat, several hours after successfully resuscitating Louis, asks him what he saw as the sun rose and burned him. This is part of Louis’ tearful reply.
The chapter cuts off abruptly after the quote and does not explicitly state that Lestat hugged him, but, like, what the fuck else would you do if Louis were crying?

from “The Tale of the Body Thief.”
If there was ever a time when I’d cheer on a lightening bolt hitting Lestat in the taint, it’s during this book–and this scene in particular.
